Occupying a full city block in Seattle’s Denny Triangle neighborhood, Block 21 is a melding of workplace efficiency, dynamic neighborhood retail and engaging urban design. A 15,000 plaza anchors the project on 7th Avenue, contributing a vital community amenity along this evolving boulevard, while a unique hill climb continues the through-block connection north to Bell Street, where street level enhancements including dining terraces, public seating, abundant landscaping and an integrated cycle track define this unique linear street park. Two offices towers, cloaked in a dynamically patterned curtain wall and linked by an aerial connection, provide over 800,000 SF of highly flexible workspace and amenities for Amazon, putting employees in the center of the vitality and connectivity this vibrant urban nexus has to offer. Graphite led Block 21 through the city’s alley vacation and entitlement process, laying the essential groundwork for this transformative design, demonstrating the benefits of pairing smart, informed development with high quality design.
